With an advance booking, visitors are allowed to hunt or fish during the appropriate game seasons. The area's woodlands attract deer, bear, coyote, grouse and wild turkey while the river's sand and gravel beds are home to a wide variety of fish including walleye, goldeye and catfish.

Hunters and fishermen must bring their own gear and will be required to show (and carry) proper licenses.
